CONCRETE POOLS
A reinforced concrete pool is widely considered to be ultimate construction method for a swimming pool. When designed and built to British Standards, the reinforced concrete pool tank will be totally watertight and the internal surface finish will be purely decorative.
Traditionally, concrete pools were finished with marble plaster on the pool walls and floor, with tiles at water level. Today, concrete pools may have internal finishes that include pool plasters containing coloured aggregate or even pebbles. Alternatively there is a huge selection of ceramic, vitreous or even natural stone tiles available for the most discerning pool owner or designer.

LINER POOLS
The fundamental difference between a liner pool and a concrete or one-piece pool is that the liner provides the water integrity for the pool and the decorative finish. The pool structure beneath the liner will not be totally watertight, but finished as smooth and as true as possible, so the liner will “fit like a glove”.
The pool tank behind the liner can be built from steel, glass fibre or polymer panels but the preferred method is to build the tank from concrete blocks to avoid corrosion, delamination or osmosis.

ONE PIECE FIBREGLASS POOLS
Although road transport constraints place limitations on the sizes available, one-piece pools are steadily gaining popularity in the European Market.

When fully finished, a one-piece pool is as attractive, durable and functional as the others.
A one-piece pool is delivered by a specially designed articulated truck that has an integral crane to unload it and, in most cases, place it into position.
